Build With Us
Join Ovoco as a Consultant
We are assembling a delivery team of independent consultants with deep Atlassian, ITSM, and configuration management expertise.
To Former Atlassian Team Members
If you were recently part of the Atlassian layoffs, we want to talk to you about building something together.
Ovoco is a consulting firm focused on configuration management, ITSM migration, and federal IT modernization. We help organizations implement CMDBs, migrate off Jira Data Center before end-of-life, and stand up service management platforms on JSM, ServiceNow, and open-source alternatives.
Atlassian Data Center is ending. No new subscriptions after March 2026, no renewals after 2028, read-only by 2029. Every federal agency and enterprise running Jira DC or Confluence DC needs a migration plan. Most of them do not have one yet.
That is where you come in.
The work includes:
- Jira Data Center to Cloud migration planning and execution
- JSM Assets and CMDB implementation
- Atlassian-to-ServiceNow migrations
- ITSM process design, change management, and service catalog buildout
- Federal compliance where Atlassian tools intersect with FedRAMP, NIST, and CMMC
How It Works
Independent Consulting
You work as a 1099 consultant. You set your own rate. You choose the engagements that fit your skills and availability. Ovoco handles client relationships, contracts, and business development.
Team, Not Staffing
This is not a staffing agency arrangement. You are part of a small team that works together on engagements we win as a firm. Your name goes on the delivery. Your expertise shapes how we solve problems.
Open Source Tooling
We have production tools you would use and help improve: cmdb-kit for CMDB implementation and migration-kit for platform migrations. These are not theoretical. They are in production on real engagements.
Who We Are Looking For
Clearances are a plus but not required. Remote work is the default.
Why Now
The Atlassian DC end-of-life is creating a migration market that will last through 2029. Organizations that have run Jira DC for a decade need people who understand the platform inside out to help them move. That talent pool just got larger, and the demand has not gone anywhere. We would rather build a team of people who know this technology deeply than try to staff engagements with generalists.
